Walk through the former capital, visiting the historic Churches and learning about Goa’s past.

The old capital city was one of the most flourishing cities across the world way back in the 16th and 17th centuries. It was a famous entrepôt for a lot of traders. The former capital city was known as the Rome of the East or the pearl of the orient because of it’s influential trading activities. After the city was struck by diseases and epidemics and the capital relocated to its new location the once former capital of Goa was left with a rich influence of Catholic Churches.
We will be walking throughout the former capital beginning with the Chapel of Saint Catherine and ending at the tower of saint Augustine.
Itinerary :
- Saint Catherine’s Chapel : A visit of the chapel from the inside.
- Saint Francis Of Assis Church: A visit of the Church from the inside.
- Sé Cathedral : A visit of the Church from the inside.
- São Caitan Church: A visit of the Church from the inside.
- Viceroys Arch : A visit of the structure from the outside.
- Basílica of Bom Jesus : A visit of the Church from the inside.
- Visit the Saint Augustine Tower : A visit of the ruins of the once grand church of Old Goa.

- No posing for photos in front of people’s homes.

- A strict dress code to be followed.
- NO sleeveless tops or short shorts. Cover shoulders in case wearing sleeveless top.
- Shorts have to be below knee length, No mini skirts, No strapless or fine strap dresses or short dresses or Sleeveless T-shirts or T-shirts or Blouse tops above midriff.
