This tour is a visit to a shiva temple called Nageshi and then the rest of the day is spent with the Elephants .
Duration: 5-6 Hours
We begin the day by visiting a traditional Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu deity shiva in a little village kalevm which is on the outskirts of the town ponda . The temple is called Nageshi which means cobra which is another name for shiva. The temple is a pre Portuguese construction and exists at the same very site it was built in the year 1560.
After we visit this temple we drive down to visit the Elephants. Depending on what one prefers to start with first whether ride the Elephant or bathe the Elephant than shower with the Elephant being seated on it’s back is entirely ones choice of preference. After we have had our fill of excitement with the Elephant. You than shower and change and we proceed to do a spice tour in the plantation where in you get to see the different spices that are grown in Goa and learn it’s medicinal value. After the spice tour we than proceed for lunch at the spice farm where in you will be feasting on a traditional Goan Hindu lunch in which you will be serving yourselves on plate made from the aracanut palm.
